This is a lovely spacious detached 3 bedroomed house set in the quiet country side of Ponta do Sol, on the western coast of Madeira Island. It is situated in a semi rural residential area of similar properties and English residents next door. Good centre for exploring the Island, close to lovely walks around the local area and levada walks. The coast is just 10 minutes away as are the towns of Ribeira Brava and Calheta where there are shopping facilities, restaurants and a marina, as well as bathing area. The house has extensive views over open countryside to the sea, large balcony and sunny flat gardens for outside living even space for outdoor games.
It is spacious and light and has been tastefully furnished and equipped to provide comfort and tranquility. Property comprises a very large sunny living room overlooking the gardens with views to the sea, with patio doors opening on to the verandah and lawned areas. There is a TV with several channels, DVD player and music centre. The dining area will compliment entertaining. The kitchen is large and well equipped and has a table and chairs for informal meals. The master bedroom is most luxurious, large and spacious. It is furnished in a modern style with a double bed and has adjoining dressing area and full ensuite bathroom. Leading off the bedroom is a full sunny verandah with views to the sea and furniture for sitting out in relaxed mode. The second bedroom is large and airy with a double bed and modern furnishings its bathroom is adjoining. There is still a third double room with bathroom adjoining and furnished in modern design. Outside there are gardens & lawn area, ideal for families with children, as well as large and quiet terraces, with sun loungers & seating. Private driveway & garage.
It is recommended that you hire a car but it is not far to a great variety of interesting places and is ideal a a base for exploring the Island. Ideal location for Levada Wakling.

As the name implies, Ponta do Sol (sun point) has lots of sunshine and a small but very nice beach. Famous for its weather conditions all year round this place delights tourists and locals with its warm water and friendly people, always happy to see you!The pebbled beach, although it doesn’t have the '‘Blue Flag’', has always test results confirming a good quality of the water. The Town Hall makes those tests twice a week!
The changing rooms are okay but there could be a few more. We can however assure you that you are not likely to find such a calm beach anywhere else on the south coast.
Parking in the area is not a problem at all. The beach of Ponta do Sol is definitively a good choice for all those who prefer peace and quiet!
