Submitted by Gary & Jane, Kent, England Review Submitted: October 25, 2008 Date of Stay: October 2008 The view is absolutely wonderful from this apartment, you can sit on the balcony, relax and watch the world go by. You can see the cruise liners going in and out of Funchal, see the Santa Maria go past each day and watch all sorts of other things, we just loved it. It is also very peaceful. This apartment is handy for buses, taxis, shops, restaurants, tours coaches, swimming in the lidos and you really do not need to hire a car as everything is in walking distance. One word of warning, if you are not very nimble, the road is very steep to and from the apartment. The apartment is fairly small, but has everything you need for a holiday, it was nice and clean and had plenty of nice clean towels and hot water. The owners were very helpful when we were met at the airport. I would definitely recommend this apartment to a friend. Recommended for: Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
