Located in a picturesque spot with lovely surroundings, in a village where the main activity is agriculture, this house lies 5 minutes away from the centre of the charming Faial, 20 minutes away from the airport and 40 minutes away from Funchal. The ocean is 4 km distant.
The house has been totally refurbished and enlarged to include all the facilities needed to ensure the comfort of guests. Surrounded by gardens and lush valleys and mountains, it is an ideal place for nature lovers who take pleasure in mountain walks enjoying the fresh air scented of the hundreds of different species of the richest Madeira flora. All in all, this is the ideal place to spend an enjoyable break from city live and find the inner peace we all seek for.
Implanted in a plot of 2500 m², with a living area of 500 m² and equipped with central heating, the house has 6 tastefully decorated rooms (2 doubles and 4 twins) with private bathroom, kitchenette, TV and balconies offering a magnificent view over the valley. Furthermore, there is a traditional spacious kitchen as well as a barbecue, 2 comfortable living rooms with TV (one of them with fireplace), terraces, 2 guest WC’s, patio with summer kitchen and open air BBQ and a magnificent wine cellar, all with either mountains or sea view.
Twice weekly maid service.

Still in the province of Santana, just to the south of Santana is São Roque do Faial, the starting point to numerous walks and trails inland towards some of Madeira's highest peaks, and the Parque Natural de Madeira. The population of Faial in 2001 is 1,961. It is located 21 km N of Funchal, 5 km W of Porto da Cruz, 15 km W of Machico and 39 km E of Porto Moniz. Faial has a modern complex, with a large natural swimming pool, restaurants, showers, and extensive sunbathing area.
The complex also includes a sand playing field that meets the requirements for national and international competitions in sports such as football, handball and volleyball and a multi-purpose pavilion for other sports.
Motor sports fans will find a go-kart track near the mouth of the stream.
