Modern, self-catering penthouse apartment situated amongst the quiet banana groves of Calheta, with magnificent views of the sea, beach, marina, and the hills. Overlooking the center of the village of Calheta with its beautiful golden sandy beaches, this apartment is in a few minutes walking distance to bakers, café, the Modern Art museum complex, restaurants, gym and other activities to do such: water skiing, paragliding, mountain walks, boat fishing trips, canoeing, beach and many others. It is about 1000 m to the beach, and equipped with all the facilities necessary to have a wonderful holiday.

The penthouse apartment comprises 1 double room, living room with a double sofa bed, flat screen TV with DVD player, not connected with local TV, IPOD base available and Playstation, dining area with seating for 6, balcony with sea view and garden furniture, fully equipped kitchen and 1 complete bathroom with Jacuzzi. Guests enjoy a magnificent shared swimming pool surrounded by a nice garden, and garage.

Children welcome starting 8 years old, but must be supervised by an adult when in the pool.

Calheta is fast becoming one of the most popular towns on the South coast. It has the most interesting marina which is full of privately owned boats and yachts. Many of these offer trips out for dolphin and whale spotting, trips to the Desertas Islands, deep sea fishing and lots more. Along the side of the marina are many snack bars and restaurants where the atmosphere is electric and you mingle with the locals and tourists alike. In the evenings even live entertainment can be enjoyed. Just five minutes walk away is a protected golden sandy beach which runs very gradually into the warm blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and ideal place for young children to dig on the beach and paddle or swim in the water. Many locals swim from one part of the beach to the other for fitness as well as enjoyment. There is a large well stocked supermarket which serves all the needs of the self catering client and a bank with instant access machines.
