Cette villa a été construite depuis court avec un seul étage, dans un terrain de 600 m2. Elle est située dans l’arrondissement tranquille et élevé de São Gonçalo, à 5 minutes du centre de Funchal et 20 minutes de l'aéroport en voiture. La plage la plus proche est Garajau lointain de 4 kms, ce sont 8 kms à Golf Club Palheiro Golf. Des restaurants peuvent être trouvés dans 1 km de la maison.
La maison est entourée par une grande véranda avec une magnifique vue de mer et du port de Funchal et des montagnes. Il y a 2 chambres aux list doubles avec des portes donnant vers un balcon et un d'entre eux avec salle de bains en suite, 1 chambre avec deux lits simples avec une fenêtre donnant sur le balcon, encore 1 salle de bains, un séjour et salle à manger spacieuse, une salle de jeux avec billard, une cuisine complètement équipée, une buanderie, un petit jardin, barbecue avec WC, meubles de jardin, piscine privée (8 x 4 m) et garage.
Ménage avant l'arrivée et après le départ des clients compris dans le prix. Les draps et les serviettes sont aussi inclus dans le prix. Serviettes de piscine ne sont pas comprises.

Funchal est la capitale et le port principal (ainsi que le plus grand) de l’archipel de Madère, et a gardé une atmosphère coloniale. Le centre ville est un dédale de rues étroites pavées où une myriade de petites boutiques propose des produits traditionnels, notamment les célèbres broderies et objets en osier de l’île. Funchal est un excellent endroit pour le lèche-vitrines car la ville possède plusieurs grands centres commerciaux ouverts sept jours sur sept.
Citons parmi d’autres attractions à ne pas manquer : la cathédrale de Sé, le musée Cidade do Açúcar consacré au commerce du sucre qui était la source de revenus principale de l’île jusque dans les années 1700, et les immeubles du XVIIe et XVIIIe entourant la Praça do Município (place principale) : le musée de l’Arte Sacra, la mairie (Câmara Municipal), et l’église Igreja do Colégio.

Pitea, Sweden Review Submitted: June 27, 2010 Date of Stay: June 2010 Are you looking for a place with a magnificent view, directly overlooking the sea as well as the lights from the capital city of Funchal, yet very quiet and peaceful, with excellent customer service coming from the owners and a house fully equipped for every possible need, this is it! Honestly, the first words I uttered coming to the house was: "The pictures don't lie!". I spent a week there with my 80-year-old mother, two sisters and their two daughters. We had a great time together in the house and in the pool, but also not far away in the city and with Mr Maurice, our "private driver" taking us round the island, telling us lots of interesting facts about the island and giving us the names of the plants passing by, in four different languages! We often went by local buses down town and then took a cab back home for 7-8 euros a car. The owners are charming and caring and we loved the house. If ever we come back, we will book this house! A very nice house with lots of opportunities (swimming pool, biljart table, a bar, a large living room and terrace, a kitchen with everything in it an 3 nice large bedrooms. The owners are very concerned. We were unfortunately struck by the volcanic ash cloud of Iceland, but Patricia and Fernando contstantly wanted to be updated on our situation and confirmed to us they would house is when needed or if the filght company wouldn't take care. Patrcia and Fernando, thanks for the lovely period we had !!! |

Clare and Phil Canterbury, Kent, UK Review Submitted: June 12, 2010 Date of Stay: May 2010 This house is outstanding. Its attention to detail is excellent. It is extremely spacious. It has everything you could possibly want - in the kitchen, in the laundry, in the bathroom and in the living areas. There is a games room. The pool is great on a very hot day. If anything the photographs and description don't do it justice. It is, quite simply, first class. The view from the terrace is absolutely stunning. You can look over Funchal (on a Saturday night you can enjoy the fireworks in the harbour), watch the boats go by or sit and watch the sun go down in the evening. Wake up in the mornings, open the curtains and gaze at the blue Atlantic – one day we saw dolphins. If you are reasonably fit you can walk up 101 steep steps to the main road to catch a bus into Funchal (about 10 minutes and 4 euro), walk for about 10 minutes to Zarco’s restaurant (excellent) and where there is a chemist or turn right and walk to Hotel Gardens for a drink/meal. However, to stay here for any length of time you probably need a car, although we were there for a week without one but never ventured further than Funchal. A taxi back from Funchal is about 8 euro. There are no shops in the vicinity. However, and we cannot emphasise this enough, the greatest advantage of this property is its owners. Patricia and Fernando could not have been more courteous, more helpful or more determined for us to enjoy our stay on this island. They can be contacted at any time and will help with anything. If you are ok with staying outside of the capital and away from it – then don’t bother looking at anything else, stay here. |
