There are also various hotels in the area where you can visit their restaurants and the gym which is open to the public (against fee). You only need a car if you want to go explore the island enjoying all the nature. The beach which is 5 minutes away. If you are looking for privacy, relaxation and luxury this is the property for you.

The property was recently decorated with high quality comfortable furniture and has 3 modern style bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin), 2 luxurious bathrooms, 1 guest WC, modern living room with cable TV, settees and dining area, and a full equipped kitchen. There is cable TV and internet connection. Outside there is a lovely BBQ area, garden furniture, 8 chairs, 2 sun loungers and private swimming pool. There is still a garage with table tennis, table football, gym equipment and 4 bicycles. A big parking space is available in case you need it.

Caniço centre is about 10 km from the Madeiran capital. It has the typical hustle and bustle of a small town and the seaside area in Caniço de Baixo is a real holiday resort. Caniço de Baixo is the sort of place where you will find peace of mind. The sea and the beach are very close to you all the time, so you can swim whenever you feel like it or just seat down in one of the bars by the sea having a drink and admire the beautiful landscape surrounding you.

There is an excellent bus timetable to and from Funchal city, in the case that you do not wish to drive in your holidays. The hotels nearby offer a program of entertainment in the evenings and they welcome visitors The waters of the Garajau Natural Marine Park are a big pull for visitors looking to sample some scuba diving and diving on Madeira.The best of the scuba diving is around Canico de Baixo, and a choice of scuba diving companies hire out equipment, give scuba diving lessons, and organise excursions. The golf courses are within less than 30 minutes driving from the apartment. In the case that you wish to walk in the famous Levadas, there are some in the area.

Golfers will be pleased to know that the new 18-hole Palheiro golf course is no more than a 20 minute drive. Classic Madeiran hills, ridges and deep valleys have all been incorporated into the terrain to produce a dramatically interesting course, with stunning views. The spectacular 27-hole Santo da Serra golf course (also known as Campo de Golfe and home to the Madeira Island Open) is also within easy reach. This is Madeira’s oldest golf course. It sits high up on a plateau and is marvellous scenic with inspirational views back up the mountains and out over the Atlantic below.
