Excellent location, right in the heart of the largest Portuguese forest – the Pineforest of Leiria, and next to Paredes de Vitória, a magnificent beach that year after year is awarded the Blue Flag. Paredes offers the basics required for daily life: small shops, excellent restaurants , beach bars, etc.  The surrounding area includes a nice recreation area with children playground, fitness track and pick-nick area.  Along the sand dunes there are walking paths adequate to trekking and Nature watching.

Along the coastal road (Estrada Atlântica), there are 60 km of bicycles track, also adequate for jogging and high competition training.

A spectacular beach, with countless restaurants e seafood houses, the white housing spread over, the high cliff above a deep blue ocean turn Nazaré, located only 10 km away, into a compulsory visit.

S. Pedro de Moel, cosmopolite summer resort, with an active night life is 7 km distant.  Marinha Grande, a town famous for its century old glass industry and the Glass Museum is at 16 km.

Within 30 minutes drive, one finds the towns of Alcobaça and Batalha, famous for their monasteries, Fátima and its sanctuary , and the city of Leiria, a commercial centre with medieval monuments, with a particular emphasis on its 12^th century castle.

Lisbon is 130 km distant, about 75 driving minutes.
