This house is located within a walled private plot of 2000 m2, in São Pedro da Caldeira, Torres Vedras. Its elevated position enjoys a wonderful landscape of the neighbourhood, ideal for those who seek privacy and contact with Nature. A good selection of beaches is only a few minutes by car: 5 km from Praia da Foz, 7 km from Praia da Assenta, 10 km from Praia de Santa Cruz and 11 km from Praia da Calada. You will find café and restaurant within 200 m from the property, supermarket within 6 km, and the centre of Torres Vedras is 15 km distant. It is approx. 50 km from Lisbon airport.

The property comprises 80 m2 of living area and 800 m2 of leisure area.
Divided over two floors, the house consists of:
Ground floor: living/dining room with fire place, TV (Portuguese channels only), sofa bed for 2 persons and dining area, fully equipped kitchen, 2 twin rooms, and 1 shower room;
upper floor: reading room that can also be used as another bedroom, sleeping 2 persons in a sofa bed.
Outside one finds a barbecue, small volleyball green and covered swimming pool.

Sleeps 4-8 persons, self catering.

Inhabited in prehistoric and Roman times, Torres Vedras received its Charter in the mid-13th century.

The Convent of Varatojo, one of the most important religious monuments in the region, was founded in 1470 by King Dom Afonso V, in gratitude for the conquests in North Africa.

In the 19th century, during the Napoleonic invasions, Torres Vedras had a very important role, because it was the scene of the beginning of the retreat of the French army and Napoleon's loss of hegemony in Europe. In fact, the building of the "Lines of Torres Vedras", a series of military fortifications lined up around Lisbon, was successful in its aim of preventing the French troops from advancing on Lisbon, and forced them to retreat.

In the environs, besides the beaches of Santa Cruz and Porto Novo, with all the activity typical of a holiday resort, with golf courses, riding schools, hotels and swimming pools, there are also the hot spring spas of Cucos and Vimeiro, much sought after for the therapeutic qualities of their waters.

The Carnival is the highlight of the town`s events. It has strong traditions in Torres Vedras, and is known as the most Portuguese in Portugal, because it maintains the allegorical parades and processions of decorated floats, gigantones (giant carnival figures) and zés-pereiras (carnival rhythms), without yielding to foreign influences.
